IMPACT TAPE / BENCE BARTA

/ 01-08.10.2017

A magnetic tape is spanned across old unstable tape recorders placed in different corners of the room. It is an endless system to record, replay and transform sounds of the space. The recording slides on another while noises, sounds and the silence act as pictures of a collective memory. Shreds of the audience’s soundprint are floating in a continuously altering shape of space and time. The moment mutates, rebuilds as new layers are being created though adding new memories and thoughts.

The magnetic tape during the process continuously damaged that also changed the sound. This installation also a primitive model of a reminiscon, association and thinking and also a frozen image of withering. This installation was the part of the UH Fest 2017.
